Modular Rockfall Netting Gabions are of welded or woven mesh units to provide essential protection for erosion of slopes and rockfaces debris and falling rocks. Rock fall mesh and rockfall gabions are both supplied to form a slope protection system.

Mesh wires: Gabions mesh 8x10 in 2.7mm (PVC or PE coating additional with 0.5mm thickness).

Rockfall Protection Netting-Reinforced Gabion Mesh

The mesh secure loose debris falling without risk of injury or damage. Rockfall netting is drapered over the slope and secured with anchor bolts. Over time, rocks and debris will fall to the foot of the slope behind the steel mesh drapery. Rocks can then be collected in a trench of suitable dimensions, at the foot of the slope.

Gabions mesh can be secured both at the top of the slope and at the foot of the slope with high strenth cables to form a drapery. In this instance it is good practice to allow the lower cable to be loosened, in order that the collected debris can be removed safely.

Galvanized Mesh Gabions for Hill Protection

Galvanized steel wire mesh gabions and PP geotextiles are commonly used for hillsides stabilization projects.

Gabions made from galvanized steel wire mesh filled with stones can be used to stabilize hill slopes and control erosion. Geotextile used with gabions can enhance drainage and preventing soil loss, ensuring gabion structures reinforced.
